PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of necessarily and sufficiently performing a cleaning step of a toner electrification member.SOLUTION: An image forming device 100 comprises an image carrier 1, an intermediate transfer body 8, a cleaning member 21, a toner electrification member 23, a power source E3 applying voltage to the toner electrification member 23, and a control unit 150 which can cause a cleaning step for controlling the power source E3 and transferring a toner from the toner electrification member 23 to the intermediate transfer body 8 to be executed at completion of a job for forming an image on one or a plurality of transfer materials P with one start instruction. The control unit 150 controls whether to execute the cleaning step at completion of one job on the basis of a first index value correlated with the number of images formed in the one job and a second index value correlated with a cumulative value of the number of pixels of the image formed after execution of the previous cleaning step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
