PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the sensitivity of a sensor by forming a carbon electrode from carbon paste composed of a mixture of acetylene black-graphite (specific wt. ratio) and treating the surface of at least a working electrode with glutaraldehyde. SOLUTION: Screen printing carbon paste for forming carbon electrodes 2, 3 is formed from an actylene black-graphite mixture and a lead part is formed from the same material as the electrode forming material and, further, the surface of the part of at least the working electrode 2 is treated with glutaraldehyde to enhance the sensitivity of a sensor. In the carbon paste, graphite is used in a ratio of 2.5-5.5 pts.wt., pref., 3-5 pts.wt. per 1 pts.wt. of acetylene black. A reticulated element 9 is arranged on an enzyme-electron carrier mixture layer 5 through a space part to desirably further enhance measuring accuracy. A spacer 7 having a hole part 6 having a size corresponding to that of the mixture layer 5 bored therein is bonded by an adhesive 8 and the reticulated element 9 having an area covering the hole part 6 is superposed and, further, a cover 11 having a hole part 10 bored therein is bonded by an adhesive 12 to be integrated. |
