The passenger seat, especially for an aircraft, has a seat (1) and backrest (5) with backrest upholstery sections (13,17) with a relative movement between them. The backrest has a two-part structure with one upholstery section (13) over the whole of the front surface and a covering upholstery (17) as a flap which can swing down to cover the lower zone, or up to cover the top of the backrest. The hinge is a stitched seam (19) between the two sections. The outer section has a thicker end (21) away from the seam hinge. |
