PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a bottleneck by a band width between a frame memory and a plotting unit and to perform high-speed plotting in the picture generation of computer graphics. SOLUTION: A YDDA unit 12 performs digital differential analysis in a Y direction by the data of a parameter register 11 and an XDDA unit 13 performs the digital differential analysis in an X direction from the output data of the parameter register 11 and the YDDA unit. Then, the result of the XDDA unit 13 in a horizontal direction is not directly written in the frame memory 16 but is tentatively written in a line memory 14. The line memory 14 is written to the frame memory 16 altogether by a transfer device 15, and a memory band width to the frame memory 16 is secured. |
