摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily establish linkage between an IP telephone device for transmitting and receiving voice data and an adapter device for a receiver for transmitting and receiving video data, in an IP videophone system.

SOLUTION: An IP videophone system 1 comprises an IP telephone device 3 for transmitting and receiving voice, data to and from a calling destination via an IP network 2, an adapter device 5 for a receiver 6 connected to the IP telephone device 3 via a router 7 for transmitting and receiving video data synchronized with the voice data to and from the calling destination, and the receiver 6 for reproducing video images based on the video data. The IP telephone device 3 and the adapter device 5 exchange their device information each other via the router 7, and establish mutual cooperation, based on the exchanged device information.
