PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethylene-isoprene random copolymer having rapid vulcanizing rate and high vulcanizing density and an elastomer composition using the ethylene-isoprene random copolymer and a crosslinked elastomer composition. SOLUTION: The ethylene-isoprene random copolymer has 1-45 mol.% isoprene content or <=3.5 Q value which is represented by a ratio of number- average molecular weight (Mn) to weight-average molecular weight (Mw). The elastomer composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of the copolymer, 5-400 pts.wt. inorganic filler and/or carbon black and 0.1-20 pts.wt. crosslinking agent. The crosslinked elastomer composition is obtained by crosslinking the elastomer composition. |
