PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for catching flies and mosquitoes which are flying, by utilizing a net to which a pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied, and setting the net in a place, such as a livestock shed and a stock farm, in which many of the flies and the mosquitoes are bred, or forming the net into a round fan shape and then moving the fan-shaped net by hand. SOLUTION: In this method, the pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied to a base material having spaces, including the net, so as not to fill in meshes of the net, and then the net is set in an area around a house which the flies and the mosquitoes inhabit, the livestock shed, a kennel, etc., or directly near to people or livestock, so that the insects are caught by being adhered to the pressure-sensitive adhesive. Further, the net is formed into the round fan shape, and then moved toward the flies and the mosquitoes which are flying, so that only the insects are caught by being adhered thereto, while air passes through the spaces between the meshes.
