<p>PURPOSE:To prevent mulfunction in connection caused by insufficient insertion of a resin pipe, in respect to a joint where a heat wire is embedded inside and the resin pipe is fitted and fused, by providing a switch mechanism which is set ON through insertion of the resin pipe to an inner portion of the reception port of the joint. CONSTITUTION:An electroconductive slider 5 is formed on an electric fusion type joint wherein a heat wire 2 is embedded inside the inner peripheral surface of a reception port, which slider 5 is engaged with a stopper 11 on the inner peripheral center portion of a joint main body. The electroconductive slider 5 is composed of a circular body 51 which has electroconductivity at least at its outer periphery, and a plurality of elastic engagement pieces 52. The slider 5 is engaged with the inner peripheral surface of the joint main body by elasticity of the engagement pieces 52. When the resin pipe is inserted through the reception port to an inner portion, the engagement pieces 52 are bent, and an outer surface of the circular body 51 is in contact with an end 24 of the heat wire along the inner peripheral surface of the joint main body. Current carrying is started to the heat wire under such a condition. The inner periphery of the reception port is melted, and the outer surface of the resin pipe is integrally fused and connected.</p> |
