PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver by which a user can continuously view and listen to one and the same program by scanning channels without disturbing the user's program viewing, even if it goes over the boundary of a broadcasting area. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver 100 is provided with: a first tuner 110 for receiving a program to view and listen to, as well as, program information; and a second tuner 120 for automatically scanning channels to acquire program information of the currently receivable programs when the receiving level of the first tuner 110 drops. When program information of the program during viewing is compared with the acquired program information of the currently receivable programs to find a program that is the same as the program during viewing among the programs of the currently receivable programs, the first tuner 110 or the second tuner 120 starts receiving the program.
