PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture device with which Dioscorea japonica and Dioscorea batatas having a good character can be easily harvested at home irrespective of place. SOLUTION: This culture device for Dioscorea japonica comprises a box body 1 for holding culture soil, an inclined plate 2 which is arranged in the boxy body 1 and has an inclination in the longer direction of the box body 1, an upper extension device 3 for further piling soil so as to cover the top of the box body 1 while leaving a part of the top of the box body and struts 6 on which vines of Dioscorea japonica wind to elongate.
