<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that input devices, such as a keyboard and a ten-key pad, for certification operation are be required other than a barcode scanner for performing certification operation by using the keyboard and the ten-key pad before and after scanning a barcode when performing certification in a device for accessing a file by using the barcode. <P>SOLUTION: A manuscript image is scanned, a scanning direction is detected (S300), the direction of an image obtained by scanning is corrected (S302), data are extracted from the corrected image (S303), and certification is made, on the basis of the extracted data and the detected scanning direction (S309). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
