A method for transmitting a physical channel in a Time Division Duplex (TDD) communication system capable of carrier aggregation is provided for supporting aggregation of carriers having different TDD configurations. The communication method of a terminal in a TDD radio communication system accomplishing broadband through carrier aggregation of primary and secondary cells, of which aggregated carriers have different TDD Uplink-Downlink (UL-DL) configurations, includes receiving Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) through the secondary cell, and transmitting acknowledgement information corresponding to the PDSCH to a base station, where acknowledgement information is transmitted on a Physical Uplink Control CHannel (PUCCH) of the primary cell.

1. A communication method of a base station supporting carrier aggregation, the method comprising:
transmitting, to a terminal, downlink data on a primary cell and a secondary cell; and receiving, from the terminal, hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) corresponding to the downlink data, wherein one or more of the HARQ-ACK for the primary cell is set to a discontinuous transmission (DTX) value, if a first value is less than a second value and one or more of the HARQ-ACK for the secondary cell is set to the DTX value, if the second value is less than the first value, and wherein the first value and the second value are integers greater than or equal to 0 the first value is a number of downlink sub-frame associated with a sub-frame of the primary cell, and the second value is a number of downlink sub-frame associated with the sub-frame of the secondary cell.
