PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device cover body capable of obtaining desired development characteristics of an air bag without executing any separate processing on one and the other skin body.SOLUTION: A notched part 30 is formed in an edge part facing an opening 13 at a position on the extension of at least one of the ends of the tear line of opposing parts 25. At least one of one and other joint parts 41 and 42 positioned in the edge part facing the tear line of one and other skin parts 22 and 23 covering one side and the other side of the tear line of the opposing part 25 is bent to a rear surface side, and end parts 41a and 42a are folded to the notched part 30 to be stored. Sandwiching only between the opposing parts 25 of the end parts 41a and 42a and the opening 13 can be weakened. The end parts 41a and 42a of one and the other joint parts 41 and 42 are easily pulled out by a door part opened during the expansion of the air bag, and the opening operation of the door part is difficult to be blocked. Thus, desired development characteristics of an air bag can be obtained without executing any separate processing on one and the other skin bodies 22 and 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
