<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formulation having an ameliorative action for impaired glucose tolerance in a way that only a small dosage of it controls an increase in blood sugar and prevents crisis and progress of diabetes in an effective and safe manner. <P>SOLUTION: The oral administration formulation contains, as effective ingredients, a carotenoid such as cryptoxanthin or its fatty acid ester, a flavonoid such as hesperidin, its derivative or hesperitin and/or its derivative and has anti-diabetes action and/or an ameliorative action for impaired glucose tolerance.
