FIELD: protection of internal taper threads of connecting couplings of oil pipes. SUBSTANCE: method consists in manufacture of protective taper bush from foaming, for example, from polystyrene. Outer diameter of bush exceeds minor diameter of thread by amount allowing flexible compression of bush materials. Flange is formed on end face of bush. Foaming of polystyrene is performed in molds in atmosphere of water steam at temperature of 110 to 120 C. EFFECT: low cost of manufacture of protective devices; ease of mounting and dismantling protective parts in course of operation; enhanced tightness of joints. 3 cl
