Method and device for converting hydrocarbon feedstock comprising a shale oil. The method comprises a decontaminating step, a hydroconversion in an ebullating bed, a fractionation to give light, naphtha, gas-oil and heavier than gas-oil fractions, the naphtha and gas-oil fractions being hydrotreated, the fraction heavier than gas-oil being sent back to the decontaminating step. The method and device aim to maximize the yield of fuel bases.
