<p>Disclosed is a compound which has an inhibitory activity on undecaprenyl diphosphate synthase, and which is therefore expected to be clinically used as a medicine for an infectious disease caused by a bacterium. The compound can be produced by culturing a microorganism that belongs to the genus Penicillium and is capable of producing an FKI-3368 substance (Penicillium sp. FKI-3368) in a culture medium to accumulate an FKI-3368-1 substance in a culture, and subsequently collecting the FKI-3368-1 substance from the culture.</p> |
