When integrally knitting a three-dimensional cover, e.g. for a seat, with sutures formed between areas with the wales of one area inclined to those of the other, the suture line can be made undetectable by staggering the ends of the courses to be joined by the suture to either side of the ideal suture line (S1). This may be achieved by a pattern which rearranges the order of course units, such as the pair of courses (1-10) shown. |
