PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deviation of the set position of an optical filter incorporated with an imaging apparatus even when a strong impact is applied on the incorporated optical filter. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with means 105 and 106 for controlling driving motors 105 and 106 for driving the optical filter based on impact information from an impact detecting means 107 in the imaging apparatus. When the impact equal to or exceeding a threshold is applied on the imaging apparatus, torque in a fixed direction is applied on the optical filter by the driving motor 105 so as to hold the filter position in the present set state.
