PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cold rolling oil composition for thin steel sheets excellent in lubricity, stain resistance, alkali cleanability, and aging stability. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a base oil which contains (1) a modified fat or oil fractionated from an isomerized animal or vegetable oil and containing 40 wt.% or higher of a trans-fatty acid component and (2) a synthetic saturated fatty acid ester and which has a saponification value of 170 or higher, a pour point lower than 10 deg.C, and a viscosity (at 50 deg.C) of 20 mm2/sec or higher but lower than 40 mm2/sec and (B) an emulsifier which contains (1) a first nonionic surfactant having a mol.wt. of 3,000 or higher and an HLB value of 5-9 and (2) a second nonionic surfactant having a mol.wt. of 1,000 or higher but lower than 3,000 and an HLB value of 5-9. The content of each of the first and second nonionic surfactants is 0.2-2.0 wt.% of the sum of ingredients (A) and (B). The mixing ratio of (A)/(B) is (99.6/0.4)-(96.0/4.0). |
