PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor in which correction of defective pixel and noise reduction are carried out more efficiently.

SOLUTION: The image processor comprises: an absolute value of difference calculation section 3a for calculating the total sum of the absolute value of difference between a remarked pixel and peripheral pixels; a defective pixel detection section 3b for judging that the remarked pixel is a defective pixel if the total sum of the absolute value of difference is not smaller than a predetermined threshold otherwise judging that the remarked pixel is not a defective pixel; an NR filter coefficient calculation section 3c and an NR processing section 4 for reducing noise of the remarked pixel using the absolute value of difference determined at the absolute value of difference calculation section 3a if it is judged that the remarked pixel is not a defective pixel; and a defective pixel correcting section 5 for correcting the remarked pixel, based on the peripheral pixels if it is judged that the remarked pixel is a defective pixel.
