An electric parking brake for a vehicle is provided to prevent a valve from performing defective operation due to high pressure applied to an oil pipe and outside magnetic force by installing an electric valve, which is controlled according to ignition state of a vehicle, on an oil supply pipe for connecting a master cylinder to a braking apparatus. An electric parking brake(1) for a vehicle comprises an electric valve(A), a relay(C), an alarming light(D) for the parking brake and a manual switch(E). The electric valve is electrically connected to an ignition switch(B), which is operated by a vehicle starting key, and is installed on oil supply pipes(6,6'). The electric valve consists of a motor and a valve, which is connected to a shaft of the motor to rotate reversely/forwardly to regulate the supply of oil. The relay is connected to the ignition switch. The alarming light for the parking brake is turned on/off corresponding to on/off operation of the electric valve. |
