<p>PURPOSE: To regulate the clearance between the rotor and a pad of a mechanical type disc brake simply. CONSTITUTION: A caliper 18 is supported movably in the axial direction of a rotor 14 by guide pins 50, 52. Pad springs 114, 116 energized in a direction for separating both are arranged between an inner pad 30 and an outer pad 36 arranged in both sides of the rotor 14 and the clearance between both at the non-brake time is held. The rotary shaft 48 inserted in the cylinder part of the caliper 18 is supported on a bracket 54 installed on the guide pins 50, 52. A coned disk spring 62 is arranged between the head parts 58 of the guide pins 50, 52 and the bracket 54 and by tightening a nut 60 with a groove, the rotary shaft 48 is regulated and moved in the rotor axial direction and the clearance between the rotor 14 and respective pads 30, 36 can be adjusted.</p> |
