PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To initiate a route guidance to a stop-off point by a simple operation, or to implement a route guidance for early restoring of original guide route, after the route guidance is completed. SOLUTION: A navigation apparatus searches the neighborhood candidate stop-off points and displays them on a touch panel so as to enable a user, to select them when a stop-off instruction is accepted by the touch panel, while a main route to a destination is guided. The route guidance to the stop-off point, selected on the touch panel, is implemented. Here, when it is implemented, the main route is always made to display; and when the main route is selected on the touch panel, the route guidance to the stop-off point is interrupted, and a restored route to the main route is searched and guided.
