The present invention relates to a cooker and, more specifically, to a cooker which stably performs a heating or maintaining process up to or at a high target temperature. According to the present invention, the cooker comprises: a heating unit configured to heat a cooking container; a temperature sensor configured to sense the temperature of the cooking container; an input unit configured to obtain an input from a user; and a control unit configured to perform a cooking process in accordance with the user input or a preset setup value, calculate a temperature variation rate of the sensed temperature from the temperature sensor, and control the heating unit based on the calculated temperature variation rate. Therefore, the cooker can improve the quality of a dish. |
