PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abnormal noise generated when a traveling air is caught in a base cover in a mirror base structure for supporting a side mirror on a vehicle door.SOLUTION: A mirror base structure comprises upper and lower base covers 7, 9 arranged so as to interpose a base body 5 therebetween from above and below respectively. The upper base cover 7 includes an upper peripheral edge wall portion 75 where a lower end face 75a thereof and the lower base cover 9 are connected to form a mating face, and the lower base cover 9 includes a lower peripheral edge wall portion 97 where an upper end face 97a thereof and the upper base cover 7 are connected to form the mating faces 75a, 97a. A protrusion wall 113 protruding upper than the mating faces 75a, 97a is formed near the inside of the lower peripheral wall portion 97 and in approximately parallel to the same on the lower base cover 9. An engagement projection 93 projecting inward from the upper peripheral edge wall portion 75 is formed on the upper base cover 7. An engagement hook 115 to be engaged with the engagement projection 93 is formed on the protrusion wall 113. |
