<p>A gold ball (6, 15, 20) providing better putting results from the placement of differentiated lands (12, 16, 21) along intersecting, cartographically speaking, longitudinal and latitudinal circles (7, 8) in a manner that permits the golfer to align the putter with the hole by viewing a line of lands (12, 16, 21) running over the upper surface of a golf ball (6, 15, 20) while simultaneously placing an opposed bottom land (12, 16, 21) on the putting green and a second land (12, 16, 21) at a position 90 degrees from the bottom land (12, 16, 21) for contact with the putter when the top and bottom lands (12, 16, 21) are perpendicular to the surface of the green. The circles (7, 8) can be at 30 degrees, 45 degrees, or 90 degrees apart. Preferably, the circles are 45 degrees or 90 degrees apart, the lands (12, 16, 21) are sized from 5mm to 10mm and cover up to about 20 % of the ball surface. Preferably, the lands (12, 16, 21) are colored.</p> |
