Provided are a printing method for models exceeding a printing range when using a three-dimensional (3D) printer, and an apparatus thereof. A printing position of a 3D model to be printed is determined. When a printed model which is a resultant product of printing the 3D model exceeds a predetermined printing range, the 3D model is divided. Then, the divided 3D model is printed.
