PURPOSE: To obtain a high-quality nail enamel containing an inorganic pigment coated with oxidized polyethylene and improved in settling, migration and flotation. CONSTITUTION: This nail enamel comprises a coating film-forming substance, a plasticizer, a solvent capable of dissolving the coating film-forming substance and the plasticizer and an inorganic pigment. The inorganic pigment is selected from a group comprising iron oxides, titanated mica, titanium dioxide, ultramarine, chromium oxide, chromium hydroxide and manganese violet and subjected to coating treatment and contains 1-10wt.% polyethylene oxidized on the surface of the pigment particles. The nail enamel is prepared by compounding the above components with a conventional base (e.g. nitrocellulose), a solvent, a modified resin, a plasticizer, a suspension, etc., as other components and uniformly mixing these components. |
