<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording and reproducing device which does not require reduction in approaching speed of an SIL (solid immersion lens), can surely avoid collision of the SIL against an optical recording medium, and can stably pull in gap servo in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: Only light flux corresponding to the number of effective numerical aperture of less than 1 by the SIL 11 out of reflected light flux from a recording layer of an optical disk 101 is detected, when the detection signal reaches a preset value while the SIL 11 is driven in a direction approaching the optical disk 101, speed of the SIL 11 is reduced. Thereby, timing at which the SIL 11 and the optical disk 101 are sufficiently separated form each other is obtained, the SIL and the optical disk do not collide against each other by reducing speed of the SIL at that timing, and pull-in can be performed in a short period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
