PURPOSE:To align the position of an initial ball formed at the tip of a capillary with high accuracy and bond without any failure. CONSTITUTION:Having received binary coded data as for an electrode 1a photographed with a camera, coordinate data in the center of the electrode 1a is determined, assuming a coordinate point of an NY table as a reference. Then, a bonded ball B is photographed with a camera. Based on the binary data of the ball B, coordinate data in the center of the ball B is determined with the coordinate point of the NY table as the reference. A center-to-center distance of the electrode 1a and the ball B is computed from each of the thus determined coordinate data, thereby setting a relative distance between the camera and a capillary. |
