PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably nail a target portion by maintaining a nailing passage into a completely formed condition always, even when a contact arm is retracted for making triggering effective, or the retracted position of a driver guide is displaced for adjusting the nailing depth. SOLUTION: The pulling operation of a trigger 6 is made effective, by providing a driver guide 10 and a contact arm 11 on a nailing part for guiding a nail to be placed by a driver 7 to a placing material, and making the contact arm 11 be energized downward, engaged with a set plate 13 provided on a main body 2, moved vertically while being guided by a set plate 13 and moreover pressing the contact arm 11 to the nailing material to retract it. In the driver guide 10, at least part of it is overlapped with the contact arm 11, thereby forming a nailing passage 12 between the contact arm 11 and the driver guide 10.
