<p>The method involves regulatedly bringing a reagent unit into an exhaust gas flow of an internal-combustion engine under consideration of a reagent unit pressure. The reagent unit pressure is computed and/or plausibility check is performed based on a pressure model that is based on a balance calculation of an inlet (115) and a discharge (120) at the reagent unit in a hydraulic system. The pressure model is calibrated based on an electrical load current of a feed pump that is arranged in the hydraulic system.</p>
