摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous production method for obtaining industrially and economically a living cationic polymer having a structure as designed with a low dispersity, by: using compact equipment which can perform a living cationic polymerization reaction continuously and can control an inner temperature of a polymerization vessel effectively; operating polymerization temperature, catalyst concentration, and polymer concentration in a polymerization solution in specific ranges; and suppressing side reactions by a narrow distribution of residence time.SOLUTION: To provide a continuous polymerization production method, comprising: supplying a mixture of a solution (A) containing a polymerization initiator, a polymerizable monomer, and a polymerization solvent, and a solution (B) containing a Lewis acid catalyst and a polymerization solvent continuously to a first mixing part; and feeding the mixture to a reaction part connected to the mixing part to perform polymerization of the polymerizable monomer continuously. The temperature of a temperature control medium supplied to the reaction apparatus is -55 to -30°C, a cross-section of the reaction part is 1 to 400 mm, a concentration of the Lewis acid catalyst in the reaction mixture is 50 to 250 mol/m, and a sum of concentrations of the polymer and the polymerizable monomer in a polymerization solution at the exit of the reactor is in a range of 15 to 50%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
