PURPOSE: To forms a wearing ornament providing a vivid, original surface appearance by constructing an intertwined element from wire which is moldable to become slightly flexible, crushing the intertwined element inside a press die, and eliminating an empty region that was present in the intertwined element. CONSTITUTION: A press die comprises a cylindrical lower portion 1. The lower portion includes a cylindrical extension 2 that is small in diameter as is the lower portion, and has an axial hole 3 passing through it and having a step. The lower portion 1 accommodates the tubular outside portion 4 of the die on a pipe, and the outside portion 4 is centered by the extension 2 engaged in the tube by press fit. A rod 5 is inserted into the hole 3 as a mandrel until abutting thereto, and a die portion is inserted into the rod. The die portion fits into an annular empty region 6 between the rod 5 and the tubular outside portion 4. Prior to insertion of the rod 5, the rod 5 is surrounded by a wire braid. Two die portions are inserted into the rod 5 wrapped with the braid. A pressurizing pipe is introduced into the annular empty region 6 and the braid is compressed and hardened. |
