摘要 PURPOSE: To realize good recording, reproducing and erasing characteristics with a low magnetic field and low powder and to improve corrosion resistance of a recording layer by forming a recording layer having perpendicular magnetic anisotropy comprising rare earth iron elements with addition of In. CONSTITUTION: When an interference layer, magneto-optical recording layer, dielectric layer, reflection layer and dielectric layer are formed by PVD method, each layer is deposited by electron beam vapor deposition or sputtering by using targets having specified compsn. The deposition rate of the film is usually controlled to about 0.1-100Å/sec because too fast deposition increases stress in the film while too slow deposition causes reduction of productivity. In this method, by adding In to the magneto-optical recording layer by 2-500ppm (by weight), preferably 5-100ppm, good characteristics can be obtd. with a low magnetic field.
