Self-lifting platform for oil drilling or exploration in the sea comprises a hull (1) mounted so it can be moved between a floating position and an operating position above the water on supporting legs (2) by drive mechanisms (10) which comprise at least two opposing assemblies (11), each with a motor connected to at least one redn. gear driving an outlet pinion by a shaft. The pinion acts on opposed racks which are mounted on the legs. The legs can be moved between an elevated position and a position resting on a supporting structure or the seabed. Each rack is mounted on the corresp. length of leg necessary to displace the hull from its floating position to its operating position and there are means of controlling the descent on each leg down to the supporting structure or the seabed.
|
