Disclosed is a use of oxyntomodulin for the manufacture of a medicament for use in prevention or treatment of excess weight in humans. Also disclosed is a method for cosmetic weight loss in a mammal wherein said method is non therapeutic, the method comprising administering a composition comprising oxyntomodulin to a mammal, wherein said mammal is not morbidly obese.
