Provided is a soft magnetic metal powder core having excellent direct current (DC) bias properties and small core loss. The soft magnetic metal powder core contains soft magnetic metal powder and an insulating material; and in a particle size distribution of the soft magnetic metal powder when a particle diameter of particles of 10% starts to be accumulated from a smaller one and is set to d10%, a particle diameter of particles of 16% is set to d16% and a particle diameter of particles of 50% is set to d50% such that d50% ranges from 15-65 m, (d16%-d10%)/d16%=0.10-0.20, and a roundness of the cross-section of particles of 80% or greater constituting the soft magnetic metal powder ranges from 0.75-1.0, whereby the soft magnetic metal powder core having improved DC bias properties and small core loss is able to be obtained. |
