<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rigidity of a container, in particular, the rigidity of a peripheral part of an opening by providing an annular reinforcement member consisting of a non-foaming resin on the peripheral part of the opening in the container for food consisting of a thermoplastic resin foaming material usable in a microwave oven. SOLUTION: A main part of a container 10 comprises a container body 16 and a reinforcement member 13, and consists of, for example, a polypropylene resin foamed body. The container body 16 comprises a top plate part 17 to form an upper surface of the container 10, and a storage part 18 continuous to a peripheral edge of an opening 19 formed therein, and a handle 20 is integratedly attached to the top plate part 17. The reinforcement member 13 is formed annular, and consists of, for example, a polypropylene non-foaming resin, and fitted to a back side of the top plate part 17 at the peripheral edge part of the opening 19. A stepped part 14 is formed in a boundary part with the top plate part 17 at the storage part 18, which comprises a side wall surface part 21 continuous to the top plate part 17 and an extended surface part 22 continuous thereto, and positions a lid relative to the opening 19.</p> |
