PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the miniaturization of a sampler as a whole in shape, by achieving full attenuation of pulsating flows, even in smaller buffers concerning conventional buffers and samplers provided with the buffers. SOLUTION: The buffer attenuates the pulsation of the fluid 1 which have passed therethrough, and the buffer 13 comprises a base part 14 in which inflow and outflow ports of the fluid are formed on one side of a plane part and a suspended part 19 is formed on the other side thereof, and an elastic plate 17 disposed on the end face of the suspended part. An air chamber 21 is formed between the elastic plate and a planar part and the fluid made to flow in from the inflow port 15 flows out of the outflow port 16, which causes the elastic plate to vibrate and attenuate the pulsation of the fluid following the inflow and outflow pressures of the fluid as the fluid passes through the air chamber. As a result of such an arrangement, even in smaller buffers, pulsating flows can be fully attenuated, and employment of a sampler which uses the buffer enables size reduction of the samplers as a whole in the shape.
