Critical current sensor based on the Matteucci effect. The magnetic device for detecting critical current using the Matteucci effect is based on the induction of a voltage between the ends of an amorphous ferromagnetic wire wound around a current-carrying line when the current that circulates through the latter exceeds a critical value. The sensor element is composed of: Amorphous ferromagnetic wire of positive magnetostriction wound around the current-carrying line.
