Elastic connecting element

The connection element (14) has fasteners (18) for connection to one of several components (10,12). The element is a knitted metal wire part (20) pressed into a bar or plate-shaped mold element. The fasteners are integrated in the connection element so that its fastening direction on the components is mainly at right angles to its main direction. The knitted part has a covering layer of metallic or non-metallic material on one or both sides. If two knitted parts are provided, an insert is positioned between them, and insert or knitted part have a filling of similar material, esp. an elastomer. The components are part of a motor vehicle engine system.
