In the case of an electrical power supply circuit having a rectifier circuit, a rechargeable battery and a load, the battery being connected in parallel with the load via an inductor, a switch is connected in parallel with the inductor. The switch is preferably a diode, a contactor and/or load interrupter switch, or a parallel circuit comprising both. A further diode can be connected in series with the inductor.
