PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection image display apparatus achieving smooth correction of a trapezoidal distortion by a compact reflecting mirror. SOLUTION: The projection image display apparatus includes a lens unit 20 into which image light modulated in accordance with an image signal is entered, a first reflecting mirror 30 having a reflecting surface into which the image light passing through the lens unit 20 is entered and by which the image light is converged, a second reflecting mirror 40 for reflecting the image light reflected by the first reflecting mirror 30, and a mirror actuator 50 for changing a tilt angle of the second reflecting mirror with respect to the image light.
