PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor control method for a cooling device capable of contributing to improvement of operation efficiency and durability of a compressor, keeping high accuracy in controlling a cooling temperature and securing a stable operation under an environment of high ambient temperature. SOLUTION: One or more different upper limit-side temperature monitoring values Tu1, Tu2, and one or more different lower limit-side temperature monitoring values Td1 to a condensed-refrigerant temperature Tc during an operation of a compressor 2 are set in advance, the condensed-refrigerant temperature Tc is detected during the operation of the compressor 2, an operable maximum rotational frequency Rmax to the compressor 2 is successively decreased in stages by an unit rotational frequency Ruc when the condensed-refrigerant temperature Tc reaches at least each upper limit-side temperature monitoring value Tu1, Tu2, and the operable maximum rotational frequency Rmax is successively increased in stages by the unit rotational frequency Rdc when it reaches at least each lower limit-side temperature monitoring value Td1.
