ELEMENT ARRAY, ELEMENT, COMPONENT SEPARATION METHOD FOR FLUID, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ELEMENT ARRAY

An element and an element array having improved component separation capability of a fluid than in the prior art are formed. In this element array, element tiers in which a plurality of elements are arrayed in parallel, the elements having at least one inlet and two outlets, and giving rise to an uneven component concentration of a fluid, causing a high-concentration fluid to outflow from a high-concentration outlet and a low-concentration fluid to outflow from a low-concentration outlet, are arrayed in multiple tiers in the direction of flow of the fluid. The inlet at one end of the elements at either end, except for those in the uppermost flow, is connected to the high-concentration outlet of the element at the one end of the flow one tier above and to the high-concentration outlet of an element to the other end side from the element at the one end, and the inlet of the element at the other end is connected to the low-concentration outlet of the element at the other end of the flow one tier above and to the low-concentration outlet of an element to the first end side from the element at the other end. The inlets of elements, except for those in the uppermost flow and at either end, are connected to the low-concentration outlets of elements situated closer towards the first end from the same-order position of the flow one tier above, and to the high-concentration outlets of elements situated closer towards the other end from the same-order position.
