BALLAST WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast water treatment system which can always attain ballast water control standards decided by an IMO (International Maritime Organization).

SOLUTION: The ballast water treatment system 10 is provided with: a water treatment apparatus 14 mounted on a vessel 12 and removing the object to be removed from ballast water; a tank 16 storing the ballast water treated by the water treatment apparatus 14; a monitoring apparatus 18 monitoring the quality of the ballast water; and a controlling apparatus 20 controlling the operating conditions of the water treatment apparatus 16 based on the monitoring results from the monitoring apparatus 18.
