Electric motor comprises a rotor (34) and a drive plate (18) arranged on opposing sides of a stator support (32) in the axial direction. Preferred Features: A bearing device of a shaft (13) is provided at the height of the stator support in the axial direction. The rotor has a pot-like shape. The electric motor has a removable housing (12a) which surrounds the rotor and a shaft encoder. The housing is detachedly fixed to the stator or to the stator support.
