<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer film obtained by a relatively simple operation, without generating smoking and oil contamination, capable of regulating developability of retardation as an optical film, capable of reducing moisture permeability, and capable of exhibiting excellent environmental durability, a retardation film using the polymer film, an excellent polarizing plate, and a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: This polymer film contains a polymer, and a polymer plasticizer of high molecular weight having 700 to 10,000 of number-averaged molecular weight, and having a repetition unit comprising a dicarboxylic acid and a diol, the dicarboxylic acid for forming the plasticizer of high molecular weight comprises at least one kind of 2-20C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, and at least one kind of 8-20C aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and the diol comprises at least one kind or more of diols selected from the group comprising a 2-12C aliphatic diol, a 4-20C alkyl ether diol, and a 6-20C aromatic ring-containing diol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
